What year is it?!

We need to talk about the latest fashion trend that has me thinking, what year is it?! Ok ok it's 2017 but is it really? I am seeing a lot of embroidery shirts that give me little house on the prairie vibes. When I first bought this adorable crisp white embroidered shirt at Topshop, I came home to a very jokester sister asking if I had traveled back in time to find it. I'll let you be the judge of that! Here is the gorgeous embroidered shirt (and of course, the extra sleeves make it even more of an amazing button down)

BTW, this day I went out for happy hour with my best friend who also wore a white embroidered shirt with jeans (great minds think alike) and we looked like we formed part of a Mexican girl band. Moral of the story: always check with your best friend about her outfit before leaving the house. But hey, we totally embraced it!

Anyways, I couldn't find the exact shirt on Topshop online but i found a similar one. It looks great with jeans or a denim skirt and some cute sandals or loafers. :)
